Our little blog

maintained with love

Jean & Peter Cooling

Our room on the ground floor was comfortable and scrupulously clean with a queen sized bed, a good sized fridge and a lovey little balcony overlooking the pool. The small bathroom had the usual complementary toiletries and fresh towels daily. Breakfast comprised a comprehensive continental selection and hot food and can be taken either in the breakfast room or, as we did around the pool. During the day the poolside bar has a good lunchtime menu, sunbeds are plentiful and the pool is very clean. In the evening the poolside is transformed into a restaurant serving a good selection of traditional Greek home cooked dishes and locally produced wines. Frequented by locals, visitors from nearby Gouvia marina as well as hotel guests and others staying locally (including from the nearby 5 star hotel), the atmosphere is cosmopolitan and vibrant, especially on the three live entertainment nights. That said all was usually quiet by 11.30 and we were never bothered by noise in our ground floor room.
An excellent choice if you are looking for a reasonably priced, comfortable and welcoming hotel near Corfu Town and with good transport links to explore the rest of the island. A great find.
